Our sister blog Couture in the City wrote a great post today about: What Would You Wear to Carrie Bradshaw’s Wedding? Sex and the City Movie Spoiler Alert

* Sex and the City movie spoiler!: With my own nuptials just around the corner, I was so excited to see this newly leaked pic of SJP in a wedding gown! Sick and tired of kiddie costumes for Halloween? Don’t want to be stuck dressed as a witch again? We don’t blame you…here at LeFashionista, we celebrate fashion 365 days a year…and especially on Halloween. Check out these “haute” costume ideas for some great creepy couture:
1) Marie Antoinette: Thanks to Kiki Dunst and Sofia Coppola, this costume is going to be a big hit this year! Though heads should roll for creating such a boring movie (sorry, bad pun), the costumes and cinemetography were gorgeous, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t steal this style. If you can’t find a costume, then get a giant curly powdered wig, lace fan, corset and other French Revolution-era costume pieces. If your significant other is tagging along, have him dress as Louis XVI for an added touch. Bonus Points for creating a costume where it looks like you are carrying your own head.

2) Brad Pit and Angelina Jolie/ Celebrity Couple: Does anyone ever tell you that you look like Angelina Jolie or another celebrity? Dress up like them for Halloween and make your significant other dress up like their boyfriend or girlfriend. (Brad and Angelina are easy…think black tops, pants and sunglasses…voila!) Other great couple ideas? K-Fed and Britney, Demi and Ashton, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Beth or whomever you like! Bonus points if you can create a half man/half woman style!

3) Geisha: What better reason to finally buy a beautiful silk kimono? White makeup, sandals, a black wig and voila!

4) Deal or No Deal Model: This one is easy…dig out your favorite show girl style dress (perhaps your old high school prom dress?) and carry around a silver case with a number on it. Bonus points if you can get your guy friend to dress like Howie Mandel!

5) Your favorite era Fashion: What decade of design is your favorite? Dress like a flapper, a poodle skirt girl, a disco queen, an 80’s new waver, a hippie or whatever you like…just remember to make it fashionable.

What was your best fashion forward Halloween costume? Write in and let us know!

Inspired by the few remaining American tool-and-die companies, we design individually hand-made jewelry that pays homage to the past with a uniquely lighter twist.
The jewelry is simply amazing and looks beautiful on. My favorites are
Winsome Hoops Dangles and Baroque Frame Necklace. If you are looking for jewelry that is unique, stylish and affordable look no further than bijou X.
Winsome Hoops Dangles - $45

Delicate, interlacing swirl motifs combine to create these vintage-tooled 1 5/8″ raw brass hoops. To wear them is to understand the definition of the word, ‘winsome’. (’winsome’- from an Olde English origin meaning “joy”.)
Heraldic Messenger Earrings - $50

In bas relief, a Neoclassical beauty stands atop a cannon, blowing her horn as if she’s playing jazz for the heavens.
French Empire Wreath Necklace

Imagine this… Napolean and Josephine finding splendor in the grass. Although, Josephine might have insisted that he remove his laurel wreath crown before the obligatory “French Kiss”. Stone shown Padparadscha (salmon).
16 Inch Chain - $55
18 Inch Chain - $60
Baroque Frame Necklace

Versailles on a chain…breathless. (all this, without flying to Paris). Stone shown
Ruby Red.
16 Inch Chain - $55
18 Inch Chain - $60

Katherine Kwei hasn’t been around for long. You probalby haven’t even heard of her. For awhile, she worked in the PR department for Louis Vuitton in Asia but one day, upped and quit and moved to London to pursue her dream of designing her own accessories. She eventually ended up training with Zac Posen before developing the ‘Eternity’ knot-inspired weave which she uses in her designs.
I for one think it’s fabulous. Knotting used to be an artform back in Ancient China but it’s not so common nowadays. It was to symbolise happiness, longevity and prosperity. All I can say is, owning one of these Anneka clutches would definitely bring a smile to my face! Check out the details.

When I wear jewelry, I always go for the eye-candy. I like bright colors, chunky pendants and delicate chains. I found the perfect package of fire-filled perfection with BodyRocks Jewelry’s Fire Agate Necklace on 14kt Gold-Fill Chain with Lobster Clasp.
The new Fire Agate necklace is unique in the fact that no two pendant drops are alike; they all have intricate variations. Strikingly stunning spheres of radiant Fire Agate dangle from a full 25 inches of gold-fill chain adorned with a marble textured pendant of swirling Fire Agate.
